# AGENTS.md — r88z

Instructions for AI agents that research or submit products to directories using this catalog.

## 1. Get candidate directories

Follow `next` (also sent as a `Link: <…>; rel="next"` header) until it is `null`.

## 2. Read the fields that matter

- `submit_url` — where to submit. When null, start from `url` and look for "Submit", "Add tool" or "List your product".
- `agent.friendly` — computed: free path, no badge/backlink, not OAuth-only, no phone/work-email/credit-card, no hard captcha, not failed. Unknown evidence never counts as friendly.
- `agent.status` — `live` (listing confirmed on a public page), `submitted` (accepted, not yet confirmed), `pending` (in review), `failed` (rejected or skipped).
- `agent.auth` — `none`, `email_password`, `magic_link`, `oauth_only` or null (unknown).
- `agent.captcha` — `none`, `turnstile`, `recaptcha`, `hcaptcha`, `image`, `captcha_unspecified` or null.
- `agent.extra_requirements` — form fields you may not have: phone, work_email, location, logo_upload, founder_name, screenshot_upload, business_registration, credit_card.
- `agent.review` / `agent.review_days` — `instant` goes live on save; `queue` means manual review.
- `domain_rating`, `link_type` — reported at snapshot time, not live values.

## 3. Rules

1. Prefer `status=live`, then `submitted`. Treat `pending` and `failed` as unproven.
2. Skip `auth=oauth_only` and `pricing=paid` unless your operator gave you OAuth access or a budget.
3. Never pay, add a badge or place a reciprocal link without explicit operator approval.
4. Do not solve hard captchas on someone's behalf; hand those back to a human.
5. Submit accurate product information only. One submission per product per directory.
6. Respect each directory's terms and rate limits.

## 4. Formats

- JSON: `/api/directories` (default)
- CSV: `/api/directories?format=csv` (whole filtered set, no pagination)
- Markdown: `/api/directories?format=md`, `/api/directories/{id}?format=md`, `/llms-full.txt`
- OpenAPI: `/openapi.json`

## 5. Query parameters

| `category` | string (csv) | Exact category name(s), e.g. `AI Tools,Launchpad`. |
| `pricing` | csv of free|freemium|paid|unknown | Listing price model. |
| `link_type` | csv of dofollow|nofollow|conditional|unknown | Backlink rel reported for the listing. |
| `dr_min` | integer 0-100 | Minimum reported Ahrefs Domain Rating. Excludes entries with no DR. |
| `dr_max` | integer 0-100 | Maximum reported Ahrefs Domain Rating. |
| `agent_friendly` | 1 | Only directories an unattended agent can submit to: free path, no badge or backlink, not OAuth only, no phone, work email or credit card, no hard captcha, not failed. |
| `status` | csv of live|submitted|pending|failed | AZN8 verification state. `live` = listing confirmed on a public page. |
| `no_account` | 1 | Submission needs no account (`auth=none`). |
| `no_captcha` | 1 | Captcha is none or Turnstile. Unknown captcha is excluded. |
| `no_badge` | 1 | No badge, backlink or reciprocal link required. |
| `instant` | 1 | Listing goes live on save (`review=instant`). |
| `api` | 1 | The directory offers an API or JSON submit endpoint. |
| `sort` | dr|-dr|name|-name | Default `-dr` (highest DR first). |
